What you can do today

How it connects

Official Shopify OAuth. You authorise your own account through the provider’s official sign-in screen. Client secrets stay on our backend, refresh tokens are encrypted at rest, and the desktop app never asks you to paste a marketplace secret.

How orders arrive

On-demand and periodic order checks while the desktop app is running. Shopify orders are pulled in, not pushed — there is no always-on cloud service polling your store when the app is closed.

What’s imported

  • Order reference and order date
  • Line items with SKU, title and quantity
  • Buyer/recipient name for identifying the order
  • Personalisation and product images where present

Setup

  1. Install the Windows app and sign in
  2. Open Integrations → Stores and choose Shopify
  3. Authorise your store on Shopify’s consent screen
  4. Preview and import recent orders, then assign them to printers

Plan and limitations

Store connections and automatic order import are included from Hobby (£5/month). Free is for local monitoring and manual/CSV orders.

Shopify FAQs

Does 3D Print Farm sync Shopify orders automatically?

It checks your Shopify store on demand and on a periodic schedule while the desktop app is running, then imports new orders. It is not an always-on cloud sync — nothing is polled while the app is closed.

Can 3D Print Farm change my Shopify listings or message buyers?

No. The connection reads order data so you can produce and track those orders. It does not edit listings, send messages or fulfil orders on Shopify.

How many Shopify stores can I connect?

One active connected store on Hobby, and up to five active stores on Pro. You can hold more connections and choose which are active.
